Joy to cook, even better to eat
I recently purchased a shoulder of pork,this cut being my favourite as i feel the balance between fat and lean meat is just right. It went in the oven at 8 am we sat down to eat at 4pm, the meat just fell off the bone and everyone asked for "seconds". It tasted fantastic and full of flavour. I grew up on a farm in the 40's/50's and have not tasted meat this good since then. This is the first time I have purchased anything from Little Oak Farm, but I certainly will be doing so again . The service was very good, arriving on time still well chilled, product fantastic at a good price, as the old adage goes; you gets what you pay for, and this was fantastic value for money. Final comments: skin removed half hour before serving and given a blast: result out of this world crackling, should have got a larger joint, not a scrap left for sarnies on Monday!! Thanks to this my reputation as a cook is still intact!!!
